STUTTGART, July 14. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main held talks with the leadership of Messe Stuttgart, one of Germany's leading exhibition and trade fair organizers, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting was attended by Alexander Ege, Director for International Events and Exhibitions at Messe Stuttgart, Roland Bleinroth, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Stuttgart, and Miranshokh Raupov, Consul General of Uzbekistan. The parties discussed prospects for further expanding bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Roland Bleinroth presented the company's activities and extensive experience in organizing international exhibitions, emphasizing the important role such events play in promoting economic development and strengthening international cooperation.

Particular attention was given to the Caravan, Motor and Touristik (CMT) exhibition, one of Europe's most prestigious events for the travel and tourism industry.

For his part, Consul General Miranshokh Raupov briefed the participants on the large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan's tourism sector in recent years, highlighting the development of modern tourism infrastructure, the creation of new travel routes, and efforts to provide comfortable conditions for international visitors.

It was noted that the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan from Germany and other Western European countries continues to grow steadily, while interest in the country's rich historical, cultural, and tourism potential is increasing year by year.

The parties also explored the possibility of Uzbekistan participating as a Partner Country at one of the upcoming CMT exhibitions. Roland Bleinroth welcomed the initiative, noting the strong interest among the German public and tourism industry representatives in the countries of the Great Silk Road.

In addition, he stressed the importance of ensuring Uzbekistan's participation with a national pavilion, alongside representatives of the country's tourism companies, at major international travel exhibitions scheduled to take place in Leipzig in November and Hamburg in February.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a comprehensive set of practical measures to implement the proposals discussed, continue exchanging information, and maintain close cooperation in facilitating Uzbekistan's participation in leading international tourism exhibitions.

Held annually in Stuttgart since 1968, the Caravan, Motor and Touristik (CMT) exhibition is one of the world's largest consumer-oriented travel and tourism fairs. Each year, it brings together more than 1,600 exhibitors from over 100 countries, attracting more than 260,000 tourism professionals and visitors.
