Stockholm hosts discussions on expanding Cooperation of Uzbekistan with Swedish Export Credit Agency

STOCKHOLM, September 9. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with representatives of the Swedish Export Credit Agency (EKN), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Uzbek-Swedish trade and economic cooperation, the development of mutual trade and investment ties using EKN's export credit mechanisms, as well as measures to further improve Uzbekistan's standing in international rankings.
The sides identified sustainable energy, transport, telecommunications, water supply, healthcare, and digital and industrial infrastructure as promising areas for cooperation.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to promote new promising projects within the “Team Sweden” framework, as well as to expand the institutional dialogue with EKN.
EKN is the Swedish National Export Credit Agency, established in 1933. The agency supports Swedish companies by insuring and guaranteeing their export transactions and international projects. EKN also represents Sweden in OECD discussions on country risk assessment for export crediting.
