Central Asian Badminton Championship kicks off in Tashkent

ТASHKENT, September 17. /Dunyo IA/. The Central Asian Badminton Championship is being held in Tashkent from 15 to 23 September 2025, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan Badminton Federation, this tournament is set to go down in history as one of the largest badminton competitions in the region.
Top athletes from seven countries – Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, and Mongolia – are participating in the Championship across three age categories: Under 23 (U-23), Under 17 (U-17), and Under 15 (U-15).
The event is expected to serve as a significant platform for identifying promising young talent and fostering friendship, regional solidarity, and mutual understanding among the participating nations.
The Championship not only highlights the growing popularity of badminton in Central Asia, but also reflects Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional cooperation through sport and youth development
