Uzbekistan to Open Specialized English Training Center for Healthcare Workers

LONDON, June 12. /Dunyo IA/. An agreement on cooperation has been signed between the Samarkand-based company “Meros Pharm” and the British organization “Specialist Language Courses” (SLC), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Under the agreement, the parties plan to enhance English language knowledge and skills among specialists working in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors in Uzbekistan. The cooperation also includes the introduction of internationally standardized educational programs, as well as the organization of professional development courses and specialized training sessions.
As part of the signing of the agreement, a bilateral meeting was held with David Sheppard, Deputy Head of the Department of Health at the UK Department for Business and Trade, who highly praised the consistent reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan’s healthcare system and noted the readiness of leading British companies, universities, and specialized medical institutions to contribute to these processes.
It was emphasized that the signed document is intended to strengthen practical cooperation between organizations of Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom, as well as to elevate partnership relations in the fields of medical education and pharmaceuticals to a new level.
“Specialist Language Courses” (SLC) is a reputable educational organization based in the United Kingdom specializing in English language training for the medical sector. The organization provides services to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and educators worldwide. Today, SLC programs are used in more than 75 countries by medical universities, nursing colleges, and healthcare institutions.
