Two Professional Education Centers to be established in Uzbekistan in cooperation with Austrian University

VIENNA, October 11. /Dunyo IA/.   Austrian online publication “Austria” has published an article about the visit to Austria by a delegation from Uzbekistan led by the Director of the Agency for Vocational Education, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the publication, Austrian University of Applied Sciences “IMC Krems” and Uzbekistan’s Agency for Vocational Education have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement in the field of education.

Under the agreement, two hotel management training centres are planned to be established in Namangan and Bukhara. They will focus on training qualified specialists and instructors for the tourism industry, as well as improving the quality of vocational education in line with international standards.

A key feature of the project will be its practical focus, with practical training accounting for at least 60 percent of the curriculum. At the training hotels planned for the centres, students will be able to gain hands-on experience in areas such as reception and guest services, hotel operations management and restaurant services.

Project also provides for the training and certification of local instructors under the “Train-the-Trainer” model. This will help expand the application of Austrian expertise in Uzbekistan and strengthen the capacity of the country’s vocational education system.

Article also highlights the existing cooperation between “IMC Krems” University of Applied Sciences and Uzbekistan. In particular, more than 200 students are currently enrolled in educational programs delivered jointly with Tashkent State University of Economics, following the standards of the Austrian institution.

Implementation of the project is expected to help train competitive professionals for Uzbekistan’s tourism industry, improve the quality of education and expand graduates’ employment opportunities.
