More than 15,000 sets of twins born in Uzbekistan in the first nine months of 2025

ТASHKENT, December 30. /Dunyo IA/. Between January and September 2025, a total of 664,600 babies were born in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the majority of births were single deliveries, totaling 649,041 newborns. However, the year also brought a notable number of multiple births, with 15,136 sets of twins and 421 sets of triplets. Statistical data show that approximately one in every 44 families welcomed twins in 2025, while a smaller number of families experienced the rare joy of triplets.
As of 30 December 2025, Uzbekistan’s permanent population stood at 38,276,116, comprising 19,275,852 men and 19,000,264 women.
