Pilaf Festival Held in Jurmala

JURMALA, September 5. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a Pilaf Festival in the Latvian city of Jurmala as part of the traditional Kauguri Festival, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The Kauguri Festival is a major cultural event aimed at promoting traditions, arts and national cuisines. Its program features musical and artistic performances, exhibitions of handicrafts, and opportunities for cultural dialogue.

The diplomatic mission’s initiative received particular appreciation from visitors and local authorities, who highly praised the taste, distinctive preparation recipes of Uzbek pilaf and its harmonious connection with national traditions.

In addition, participants and guests were introduced to Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage and customs, as well as the architectural monuments and tourism potential of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Tashkent.
