VLADIVOSTOK, September 28. /Dunyo IA/.  A solemn reception marking the 35^th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan was held in the center of the Primorsky Krai of Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by representatives of the Government of Primorsky Krai, regional and city authorities, diplomatic missions, business circles, Uzbek diaspora organizations, as well as compatriots and students from Uzbekistan.

Opening the event, Consul General Khazhiakbar Vakhabov congratulated the participants on the 35^th Anniversary of the Independence and provided detailed information on the large-scale political, legal, economic and social reforms being implemented in the country, as well as the preferences being created for foreign investors.

He also spoke about the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Russia, the growth of trade turnover, the potential of trade, economic and investment cooperation, tourism and education, and presented products of the Uzbek food and light industries, cotton raw materials and handicrafts.

Then, Elvira Shamonova, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of Primorsky Krai and Minister of Education, delivered an address, congratulating the participants on the anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence and highlighting the ongoing joint projects and the dynamic development of relations between the two nations.

During the event, presentations showcasing the tourism potential of Uzbekistan were conducted with the support of “Centrum Air” airline and brochures alongside memorable gifts were distributed to the guests. Additionally, a raffle for two round-trip airline tickets on the “Vladivostok – Tashkent – Vladivostok” route was held and certificates were presented to the winners.

Subsequently, an exhibition of Uzbek national attire, traditional handicrafts and decorative and applied arts was organized. Within the framework of the cultural program, national melodies and songs were performed, and dishes of Uzbek cuisine were presented.
