Berlin Hosts Uzbekistan-Germany Vocational Education Development Forum

BERLIN, May 17. /Dunyo IA/. The German magazine “Zemlyaki”, published in both German and Russian, has featured an article dedicated to the “Uzbekistan-Germany” Forum on Dual and Vocational Education, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the author, Tatyana Hecker, the forum, themed “Competitive and Qualified Specialists”, was organized through the collaboration of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Vocational Education, and the Migration Agency. It was dedicated to expanding practical interaction in the fields of vocational training, workforce preparation for the labor market and organized labor migration.
It is noted that the forum was attended by an Uzbekistan delegation led by the Director of the Agency for Vocational Education, Azimjon Khusanov, alongside German employers, recruiting organizations, the Minister of the Federal State of Thuringia, Katharina Schenk, and representatives from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and various industry bodies.
According to the source, the forum focused on discussions regarding the widespread implementation of elements of the German dual education system in Uzbekistan, the development of cooperation between vocational education institutions, and the training of specialists who meet labor market requirements.
The article notes that Ambassador Dilshod Akhatov emphasized that Uzbek-German cooperation in the field of education has been increasingly filled with practical substance in recent years. It was also noted that joint projects are being implemented in the vocational education sector, alongside the strengthening of ties between educational institutions and employers.
The German journalist also drew attention to the training of medical personnel within the framework of the forum. He noted that under the programs of “Globogate Concept AG” and the “German Medical Academy” project, implemented in cooperation with the university hospitals of Aachen and Rostock, young specialists in Uzbekistan undergo training in the German language, core disciplines and the requirements of German clinics.
The author writes that the forum participants emphasized the importance of modernizing the vocational education system, expanding international cooperation, and introducing modern educational technologies. “Following the forum, cooperation agreements and memorandums were signed between educational institutions and industry organizations of the two countries”, - the German journalist concludes.
