ТАSHKENT, September 18. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the activities of a greenhouse complex in the Kegeyli district, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, as in all regions of the country, systematic measures are being implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan to raise household incomes.

Greenhouse complex established in Kegeyli district at the initiative of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction is also actively contributing to this work.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the complex’s activities.

The complex received 12.5 billion UZS in concessional funds, which were used to establish a modern, lightweight greenhouse covering 5 hectares. As a result, at the first stage, 50 families included in the Social Registry were engaged in the project and provided with permanent jobs.

Each low-income family participating in the project has been allocated 0.1 hectare of greenhouse space. At the same time, the lead entrepreneur assigned to the complex does not limit support to providing land and greenhouses: for two years, the entrepreneur trains participants directly on site, helps them acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills, and then assists them in establishing greenhouse farms on their household plots and creating a stable source of income.

Most importantly, the agricultural products grown will be purchased by the lead entrepreneur at market rates.

In addition, the greenhouse complex provides training in modern greenhouse farming and agricultural practices to up to 1,000 people each year. This system is intended to become a reliable and stable source of income for the population.

Additional opportunities have also been created to increase family incomes. A total of 500 ducks are being raised in a 350-meter canal next to the greenhouse complex. Under the project, each family has received 10 breeding ducks of the Favourite breed, imported from Brazil. Residents are also receiving detailed guidance on duck-rearing techniques.

It was noted that this project is important for developing entrepreneurship and ensuring employment in rural areas. Particular attention was drawn to the approach of modern entrepreneurs, who seek not only to develop their own businesses but also to improve people’s quality of life.

Modern, resource-efficient technologies are widely used in the project. On-site, solar panels with a total capacity of 100 kilowatts have been installed, and the electricity they generate fully meets the greenhouse complex’s daily needs.
