President of Uzbekistan meets with a delegation of leading U.S. companies

ТАSHKENT, June 16. /Dunyo IA/. On the eve of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation of leading companies from the United States, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our State, the meeting was attended by the President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States John Jovanovic, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Ben Black, Chairman of the Board of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, as well as heads of Air Products, Cove Capital, Templeton Global Investments, Boeing, 77 Construction, BlackRock, FLS, Visa, JP Morgan, Meta, GULF, and many other companies.
The Head of State noted with satisfaction that the current meeting continued a good tradition and reflected the growing interest of American businesses in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that the economic agenda is a key pillar of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
In this context, the country’s leader outlined several key areas to deepen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to promoting specific projects for the development and processing of critical materials, as well as in the areas of energy, metallurgy, finance, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and many others.
The heads of leading American companies, thanking the President of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions for the effective work of investors, presented their specific proposals and plans.
Following the roundtable, a ceremony was held to exchange bilateral documents with leading U.S. companies.
