ТАSHKENT, September 23. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the operations of “Eco Cotton”, a knitwear manufacturing enterprise in Andijan district, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, project was implemented under the Presidential Resolution of June 29^th, 2026, which supports the deep processing of cotton fibre. The enterprise manufactures environmentally friendly textile products from local raw materials, in compliance with international standards, for supply to domestic and foreign markets.

Entrepreneur invested $10 million in the project and created 1,000 permanent jobs. Once the enterprise reaches full capacity, annual revenues to the state budget are expected to amount to 25 billion UZS.

To enhance employees’ skills, a dual education system has been introduced at the enterprise. Young people acquire theoretical knowledge while receiving practical training directly at the production facility.

Enterprise has organized its production process in accordance with modern standards. The enterprise has installed the latest-generation automated conveyor equipment, manufactured by one of China’s leading companies. All processes are monitored through a digital management system.

Company also pays close attention to environmental requirements. The company sends production waste for recycling to reduce its environmental impact.

Enterprise’s technological capabilities are particularly noteworthy. It is equipped with artificial-intelligence sewing machines. In real time, the intelligent system automatically adjusts the sewing process based on the fabric type, ensuring high precision and impeccable seam quality. The company is also using humanoid robots on an experimental basis.

The enterprise has an annual production capacity of 9.4 million units across 30 types of high-quality knitwear products. Total value of its output is 135.3 billion UZS. Thanks to competitive production costs and high quality, the products can compete with those of leading manufacturers from Türkiye, Vietnam, China and India.

Enterprise’s annual export potential is $10.5 million. It exports high-quality knitwear from Andijan to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania and Moldova.

Head of State had a sincere conversation with the enterprise’s employees.

Information was also presented on the work underway in the region to support young people, provide vocational and foreign-language training, ensure employment, and support their entrepreneurial initiatives.
