13 Citizens of Uzbekistan Returned Home from Iran via Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT, March 3. /Dunyo IA/. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is taking urgent measures to provide assistance to our citizens returning from Iran through the territory of Turkmenistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ashgabat, together with the representative office of our country in Iran and the MFA of Turkmenistan and other competent agencies, is taking appropriate measures to meet our compatriots at the border, resolve visa and transport issues and return to their homeland.
Thanks to the efforts made with the assistance of the state authorities of Turkmenistan, the staff of our Embassy in Ashgabat safely escorted 13 of our citizens to Uzbekistan from the Turkmen-Iranian Sarakhs border post.
Starting from March 2, 2026, the checkpoints on the Turkmen-Iranian state border “Gaudan-Bajgiran”, “Artik-Lutfabad”, “Akyayla-Incheburun” and “Oltin Asir-Incheburun” were resumed for the passage of citizens and vehicles.
As reported, Embassy staff are meeting citizens of our country at the “Gaudan-Bajgiran” checkpoint on the Turkmen-Iranian border. The vehicles of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ashgabat have been mobilized.
