SANYA, June 16. /Dunyo IA/.  Diplomats from the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou held a series of meetings with Uzbek citizens residing in the city of Sanya, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.  

In particular, a consular meeting was held with a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan who is accused of an offense and held in a penitentiary facility pending investigative activities. During the meeting, diplomats reviewed the conditions of his detention, his health status and his physical and psychological well-being, alongside matters concerning the protection of his legal rights and legitimate interests.  

Furthermore, a round table was organized with the participation of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who are studying and working in the region. During the event, special emphasis was placed on the necessity of strict compliance with the requirements of China’s migration and labor legislation, as well as current internal rules and regulations.  

Participants of the meeting were provided with comprehensive information on the procedures for processing Chinese work visas, obtaining civil registry documents, issuing biometric passports, and accessing notarial services.

Furthermore, the benefits of the “Consular Services” mobile application, developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, were thoroughly explained and the citizens were encouraged to actively utilize its capabilities.

In turn, the compatriots noted that such meetings, organized by the Consulate General, are of paramount importance for enhancing their legal literacy and obtaining necessary guidance on consular and legal matters.
