Spiritual and educational events for compatriots held in Warsaw and Krakow

WARSAW, March 13. /Dunyo IA/. Imam-khatibs Khusniddin Tursunzoda and Mukhammadjon Khodjaev, seconded by the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, visited Poland on a working visit, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
As part of the visit dedicated to the Holy month of Ramadan, spiritual, educational and preventive meetings were held among compatriots. During the events, the humanistic and tolerant ideas promoted by the President of Uzbekistan were explained to the participants, and the importance of strengthening mutual respect, social solidarity and spreading kind and creative initiatives was emphasized.
In particular, in Warsaw, the delegation took part in Friday prayers at the “Fatih” Mosque and held meetings with compatriots at the “Tatar” Mosque. More than 150 people participated in an Iftar organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan.
At the “Fatih” Mosque, prayers and an Iftar were held for compatriots, during which the national dish, plov, was prepared.
An Iftar was organized at the “Golden Samarkand” Uzbek restaurant in Krakow with the participation of compatriots living in the city. This was followed by a spiritual and educational discussion in the Uzbek language at the Central Mosque of Krakow.
During the meetings, special attention was paid to strengthening unity and mutual support among compatriots, activating charitable activities, and preserving national and spiritual values. The need to remain vigilant against various religious ideas and movements uncharacteristic of our region's traditions was also emphasized.
Participants were provided with information on the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan within the religious and educational spheres, as well as measures to ensure freedom of conscience and develop enlightenment activities. It was specifically noted that extensive charitable events are being held across the country in honor of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Furthermore, compatriots were introduced to the activities of Uzbekistan’s leading religious educational institutions, including International Islamic Academy, “Mir-Arab” Higher Madrasah, Center of Islamic Civilization and the scientific schools dedicated to studying the heritage of Imam al-Bukhari and Imam at-Termizi. It was highlighted that the children of compatriots have the opportunity to receive an education at these institutions.
At the conclusion of the events, books and brochures prepared by the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan were presented to the mosques.
Overall, the events were held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. Compatriots noted the importance and necessity of holding such spiritual and educational meetings on a regular basis.
