ISTANBUL, March 10. /Dunyo IA/. A cultural and educational gathering and an iftar dedicated to the holy month of Ramadan were held at the ceremonial hall of one of the universities in Istanbul, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

More than 300 Uzbek students studying at universities across Türkiye took part in the event. The iftar was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the dedication of young people to education and their active engagement in the academic process is a source of particular pride and satisfaction for the leadership of Uzbekistan. Special attention was given not only to the pursuit of academic knowledge, but also to mastering modern technologies, advanced practices and practical skills that students will be able to apply in their future professional activities.

Participants were also reminded of the importance of observing the rules of residence in Türkiye, respecting the country’s laws, preventing legal violations and maintaining a strong sense of personal responsibility. In addition, explanations were provided regarding the protection of the rights and interests of Uzbek students abroad, which remains one of the priority areas of work for the Consulate General.

As part of the cultural and educational programme, Senior Lecturer at the Tashkent Islamic Institute, Fakhriddin Muhammadnosirov, delivered a lecture on the spiritual significance of the month of Ramadan, the ethical responsibility of students studying abroad, as well as the values of unity and mutual respect.

In addition, an open dialogue was organized between diplomats and students during the event, providing young participants with the opportunity to receive answers to their questions.
