British experience to be utilized in adapting professional education in Uzbekistan to international standards

LONDON, October 9. /Dunyo IA/.  Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom Ravshan Usmanov met with Jane Baker, Vice-President on Business Development at “Pearson”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

British side highly commended the ongoing reforms implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at elevating the quality of education, integrating contemporary standards and expanding access to premium educational opportunities for youth.

During the meeting, parties reviewed the prospects for a broader integration of Pearson educational programs and technologies across Uzbekistan, the improvement of the teaching and methodological frameworks of educational institutions, and the professional capacity building of teaching staff.

Particular emphasis was placed on leveraging international best practices within the vocational education system. It was noted that the introduction of modern curricula enables students to acquire knowledge and skills aligned with global criteria and to cultivate highly sought-after professional competencies.

Presently, “Pearson” international educational programs have been successfully deployed across 45 technical colleges (technicums) in Uzbekistan. The certifications awarded to graduates under these curricula are recognized in over 70 countries worldwide, significantly enhancing their competitiveness in the international labour market.

Following the meeting, the sides reached an agreement to expand bilateral cooperation, refine educational curricula and actively accelerate the implementation of advanced international expertise within the vocational education system of Uzbekistan.
