CAIRO, September 26. /Dunyo IA/. “Copper Mining”, a company established with Egyptian capital, has opened a new children’s playground in Kulquduq village in Uchkuduk district of Navoi region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The playground, worth 170 million sums, was funded entirely by the company and presented to local residents as a gift marking the 35^th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.

The opening ceremony was attended by district administration representatives, company employees, village residents, preschool children and school students. Children took part in quizzes, games and competitions with prizes.

Copper Mining is conducting geological exploration at the Northern Bukantau copper deposit in Uchkuduk district. Supporting residents of nearby communities is one of the company’s social policy priorities.

The company was also among the sponsors of the international GEOMIN-2026 conference, held in Tashkent on September 14-16, contributing 150 million sums toward its organization.

Copper Mining plans to continue implementing social projects and initiatives in Uchkuduk district.
