SHANGHAI, June 21. /Dunyo IA/. A presentation dedicated to Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical potential was held within the framework of the international pharmaceutical equipment exhibition “PMEC China 2026”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by representatives of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, as well as major pharmaceutical companies from China, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Ireland.

Participants were provided with information on the development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, state support measures, public-private partnership mechanisms, operating conditions in free economic zones, and promising investment projects. Special attention was given to the sector’s rapid domestic market growth, production localization, and implementation of international quality standards.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, a meeting was also held with the Chairman of the Chinese company “Gusu Purifying Technology”, Zhang Hongwei.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, fiber optic technologies, and GMP cleanroom engineering. The Chinese side expressed readiness to send a delegation to Uzbekistan for further development of investment cooperation.
