GUANGZHOU, August 8. /Dunyo IA/. With the assistance of the General Consulate of our country, an online meeting was held with the participation of representatives from Khokimiyat of Andijan and Administration of the Chinese city of Haikou, during which a memorandum on establishing friendly cooperation and sister-city relations between the two cities was signed, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event participants noted that this document opens up wide opportunities for the development of practical interregional cooperation, and emphasized that mutual visits will ensure further active development of business ties between the regions.

Representatives of the city of Andijan expressed their readiness, based on the region's potential, to adopt the advanced manufacturing experience of Haikou's companies and organizations, as well as to establish industrial cooperation.

In turn, Tong Guichang, a member of the Haikou Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, noted: “Pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in various fields is deepening, and the regions are becoming closer to one another. The signing of this document will allow for the deepening of direct interaction between the cities of Haikou and Andijan, create a model of mutually beneficial cooperation and effectively leverage the complementary advantages of both sides”.

Parties agreed to further expand practical interaction between representatives of business circles through the organization of mutual business missions and participation in joint events.

Haikou is the capital of Hainan Province, serving as its political, economic, scientific, technological, cultural and transportation hub. The city's population is approximately 3 million people, with a GDP volume of 37 billion dollars. Haikou comprises four administrative districts (Xuying, Longhua, Qiongshan, and Meilan), as well as the National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.
