SAINT PETERSBURG, July 2. /Dunyo IA/.    An online meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the leadership of the Health Committee of the Leningrad Region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Key topic of the negotiations focused on the prospects for interaction in providing medical care to patients with acute coronary syndrome, as well as the organization of remote monitoring of patient health indicators.

Meeting was attended by heads of relevant departments from the Uzbek side, including the Department for the Organization of Primary Health Care of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology and the Republican Scientific Center for Urgent Medical Care.

During the event, Alexey Waldenberg, Deputy Chairman of the Health Committee of the Leningrad Region, presented the region's expertise in these areas, specifically highlighting the methodology of providing care for acute coronary syndromes and the outcomes achieved. Particular attention was paid to the presentation of a remote patient monitoring system, which relies on transmitting data from medical devices to a unified electronic database utilizing Bluetooth and Internet technologies. According to Alexey Waldenberg, this technology enables continuous remote observation of patients residing in remote localities with unstable internet connections, thereby significantly enhancing the accessibility and quality of medical care.

Following the presentation, the sides discussed pressing questions of a practical nature. In conclusion of the meeting, Alexey Waldenberg invited the participants to visit medical institutions in the Leningrad Region to familiarize themselves with the operation of the system in a real-world setting.
