Ministers of Industry of Uzbekistan and India Discuss Preparations for the Next Session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in Tashkent

TASHKENT, June 7. /Dunyo IA/. Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with Minister of Heavy Industries of India H.D. Kumaraswamy on the sidelines of the 4th Meeting of Ministers of Industry of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Member States in Kyrgyzstan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the advancement of cooperation in geology, mining, critical minerals extraction, coal gasification, nuclear energy, and industrial cooperation.

Particular emphasis was placed on attracting leading Indian companies to participate in the development of promising mineral deposits in Uzbekistan and in metal processing projects.

The parties also reviewed preparations for the 14th meeting of the Uzbekistan–India Intergovernmental Commission, scheduled for 18 June this year as part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum.

Following the discussions, an agreement was reached to accelerate the implementation of joint projects and consistently expand trade and economic partnership between the two countries.
