National Pavilion of Uzbekistan Featured at NATO Partners Day

• 177MONS, June 7. /Dunyo IA/. A cultural and public event titled “NATO Partners Day” was held at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The main objective of Uzbekistan’s participation was to strengthen mutual understanding and friendly relations between NATO member states and partner countries, as well as to widely promote the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage and tourism potential.
More than 20 countries took part in the event, which was attended by around 300 military personnel, NATO headquarters staff, and their family members.
At the opening ceremony, Rear Admiral Yusuf Karagülle, Deputy Chief of Staff for Partnership at SHAPE, highlighted the importance of such cultural initiatives within multinational organizations. According to him, these events help promote awareness of national values, culture, lifestyles, and traditions, while also fostering mutual respect.
The Admiral also noted that NATO currently maintains partnership relations with 35 countries, 27 of which have accredited representatives at SHAPE, while 20 countries maintain permanent offices at the headquarters. This year, those 20 countries presented their national stands.
He also highly praised the active participation of partner countries in NATO’s cultural life and expressed appreciation for their contribution to the development of international cooperation.
As part of the event, a national pavilion of Uzbekistan was organized, where guests were presented with photographic materials showcasing the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage, traditional handicrafts, examples of decorative and applied arts, and its tourism potential.
Participants received brochures, booklets, and flyers containing information about Uzbekistan’s tourism, cultural, and historical attractions.
The gastronomic section featured traditional Uzbek cuisine, which made a strong impression on visitors thanks to its variety, unique flavors, and distinctive national characteristics.
Visitors showed considerable interest in the country’s culture, cuisine, and tourism opportunities. Many expressed their desire to visit Uzbekistan in the future.
