Representatives of higher education from Uzbekistan and India discuss prospects for cooperation in New Dehli

NEW DEHLI, May 30. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the higher education systems of Uzbekistan and India discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.

The educational and business forum, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in cooperation with Indian companies, brought together representatives from universities, institutes, and agencies providing educational services to youth from both countries.

During the event, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Sardor Rustambaev delivered a speech highlighting the consistent efforts being made to reform the country’s education system in line with international standards.

Special emphasis was placed on the fact that the achievements in training modern and in-demand specialists in higher education contribute to increasing the international appeal of Uzbekistan’s universities.

As a result of the ongoing modernization of the education system, the number of foreign students choosing universities and institutes in Uzbekistan is growing. Currently, about 10,000 young men and women from India are studying in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.

– The number of Indian students receiving education in Uzbekistan is increasing every year, – noted Sunil Sharma, Director of MD House. – Along with the quality education provided by the universities, our youth feel the warmth and hospitality of the Uzbek people. I believe that following today’s forum, which included prospective students, their parents, and heads of various agencies, we will achieve even greater results. Uzbekistan remains an attractive destination for Indian youth seeking modern education in medicine and other high-demand fields.

The forum showcased the educational potential of universities in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Andijan, Jizzakh, Karshi, and other cities.

Additionally, prospects for trade and investment cooperation with Uzbekistan were discussed.
