Tourism authorities of Uzbekistan and Belarus reach agreement on cooperation for 2026–2028

TASHKENT, September 3. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, the city of Vitebsk hosted a thematic session titled "Uzbekistan and Belarus: Business partnership in the tourism industry", held within the framework of the Third Uzbekistan–Belarus women entrepreneurs business forum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the information service of the upper house of Parliament, the event was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and government agencies, industry associations, and tourism companies from both countries.
During the session, participants exchanged valuable experiences on sustainable and mutually beneficial development of the tourism sector, enhancement of interregional cooperation, and the advancement of human resource capacity building.
Several key initiatives were put forward, including the promotion of joint tourism products in international markets, the expansion of experience exchange between specialized educational institutions, and the integration of digital technologies into the tourism sector, notably through the establishment of a unified tourism information and analytical portal.
Special attention was given to the development of cultural and historical tourism routes in Uzbekistan’s historic cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, alongside the exploration of unique tourist routes and attractions in Belarus.
Following the session, a comprehensive "roadmap" for cooperation was signed between the Association of private tourism organizations of Uzbekistan and the Republican Union of the tourism industry of the Republic of Belarus, outlining collaborative activities in the tourism sector for the period 2026–2028.
