Embassy of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and the Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), has launched a strategic partnership to organize exchange programs for young researchers, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
As part of this initiative, in May of this year, young scientists from universities of Uzbekistan specializing in research in the fields of the “green” economy, smart cities, sustainable agriculture, and environmental education successfully completed a research internship at UPSI. The participants were awarded the corresponding international certificates.
The program served as a valuable platform for expanding scientific contacts, exchanging experience and getting acquainted with promising projects in these areas.
The participants had the opportunity to hold meetings and laboratory sessions with the world's leading practicing scientists and representatives of international organizations, and also visited several research facilities managed by the government of Malaysia, where they could familiarize themselves with their activities.
The event received coverage in the Malaysian media, including the state news portal “Berita RTM” and “Suaramerdeka” publication, which highlighted the launch of the strategic cooperation and the research internship for young scientists from Uzbekistan at UPSI.
In addition to the academic program, holding the Culture Day of Uzbekistan in Malaysia with the participation of young Uzbek scientists once again demonstrated the rich national cultural heritage of our country, its tourism and gastronomic potential, as well as the traditional hospitality of the Uzbek people. The Culture Day also received wide coverage in the Malaysian media outlet “Epena”.
In particular, national dances, musical and vocal performances were presented within the framework of the initiative, and the participants were offered dishes of Uzbek cuisine - plov, manti and samsa.
This program not only contributed to the development of academic cooperation, but also played an important role in strengthening humanitarian ties, mutual understanding in the scientific field and friendly relations between Central and Southeast Asia.
