BRATISLAVA, July 3. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of Uzbekistan and Slovakia discussed issues of quality infrastructure development and market surveillance in an online format, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, Slovak experts noted that an effective quality infrastructure plays a key role in sustainable economic development and ensuring the safety of products and services. Particular attention was paid to the interaction of standardization, metrology and accreditation systems as crucial elements of economic stability.
A separate topic of discussion was the significance of standards in enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. It was emphasized that manufacturing in compliance with national and international standards contributes to improving product quality, expanding export potential, and strengthening the positions of companies in both domestic and foreign markets.
Participants also reviewed the core principles of market surveillance, including a risk-based approach, the responsibility of manufacturers and importers, as well as mechanisms to protect the life, health and property of consumers from dangerous products.
Following the meeting, the parties noted that an effective quality infrastructure and market surveillance are critical prerequisites for ensuring public safety, increasing the competitiveness of the national economy, and fostering export growth. Additionally, the importance of structural cooperation between government agencies, the business community, and conformity assessment organizations was explicitly emphasized.
In conclusion, an agreement was reached to hold a follow-up training seminar on the modular approach of the European certification system, covering the eight primary modules (A–H) for evaluating product safety, quality and regulatory conformity.
