Tokyo hosts discussions on training Uzbek medical specialists in Japan

TOKYO, August 31. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, met with Vice-Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, Hirobumi Niki, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, parties reviewed the development of cooperation in the fields of healthcare, medical personnel training, pharmaceuticals and the economy, as well as Japan's participation in international events to be held in Uzbekistan.
Special attention was paid to the preparation of a memorandum of understanding between the ministries of health of the two countries and the training of Uzbek medical specialists in leading institutions of Japan.
Furthermore, the parties agreed to jointly organize a bilateral business forum in Tokushima Prefecture involving local authorities, business representatives, and potential investors.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to sustain a regular working dialogue on matters of cooperation in the fields of healthcare and medicine.
