Business Mission of Uzbekistan in Islamic Finance organized in the UK

Representatives of Uzbekistan's public and private financial sectors - including the Central Bank, “Business Development Bank”, “Hayot Bank”, “Anorbank”, “Openbank” and other institutions - visited the United Kingdom to expand cooperation in Islamic finance, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, during the visit, the delegation participated in the “IFN UK Forum” international event. There, they held meetings with representatives of the European and global Islamic finance communities to discuss current trends and the industry's development.
In partnership with “TheCityUK” - an association representing the interests of the UK financial sector—a dedicated business event was organized to focus on expanding bilateral cooperation between the UK and Uzbekistan in Islamic finance.
Additionally, the delegation held targeted talks with representatives from the “London Stock Exchange”, “HSBC”, “UK Export Finance”, “Gemcorp Capital” and “Baillie Gifford”. The discussions focused primarily on applying Islamic financial instruments to implement investment and infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan, as well as strengthening institutional cooperation with international financial organizations.
