GUANGZHOU, May 15. /Dunyo IA/. The International Association of Sports Clubs, in cooperation with the Consulate General of Uzbekistan and the Chinese sports club "Yingxiong", hosted the international rhythmic gymnastics tournament "EAST CUP & OLYMPIC STARS" in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

This international competition has been held annually since 2021. Previously hosted in Tashkent and Moscow, this year’s prestigious Grand Prix event was successfully conducted in Guangzhou.

Alongside 11 talented young athletes from Uzbekistan, the tournament brought together over 200 participants from 11 countries, including China, Vietnam, Australia, Armenia, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan. The young Uzbek gymnasts represented their country with honor, earning several awards in intense and competitive events.

Notably, our compatriots Danika Moon and Safina Yandasheva won first place in the individual competitions, while the national team of Uzbekistan — composed of gymnasts born in 2015–2016 — secured first place in the team competition.

Winners were presented with honorary titles and commemorative gifts from the organizers and event sponsors.

Additionally, the 3rd Congress of the International Association of Sports Clubs was held as part of the tournament, during which discussions focused on the inclusion of sports clubs from Vietnam, Australia, and the UAE, as well as prospects for further international cooperation and organizational matters related to upcoming competitions planned for this year.
