TASHKENT, January 6. /Dunyo IA/.  The Uzbekistan U21 national football team will participate in the AFC U23 Asian Cup, taking place in Saudi Arabia from January 6 to 24, led by Ravshan Haydarov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The tournament is regarded not only as a contest for the prestigious trophy but also as a key preparation stage for the Olympic Games, making each match highly competitive.

For Uzbekistan, this edition is particularly significant as the U21 squad represents the national side, providing a platform to form the future Olympic team and evaluate emerging talent for the national program.

Uzbekistan has been drawn into Group “B”. Their group-stage fixtures are:

January 7: vs. Lebanon

January 10: vs. Iran

January 13: vs. South Korea

The results of these matches will determine which teams advance to the knockout stages.
