NOVOSIBIRSK, March 14. /Dunyo IA/.  Consul General of Uzbekistan, Aslam Akbarov, held a video conference with 19 compatriots currently held at the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens (TDCFC) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the conversations with our citizens, it was established that 18 of them are being held at the center due to violations of stay periods, failure to formalize employment contracts and labor patents and non-compliance with the procedures for obtaining the necessary documents for legal residence on Russian territory.

Consul General provided recommendations to our citizens on adhering to the center's regulations and listened to their requests and suggestions regarding detention conditions, meals and the possibility of a prompt return to their homeland.

Thanks to the established fruitful cooperation between the Consulate General and the center, an immediate agreement was reached to purchase tickets for 18 of our citizens for the nearest flights to Uzbekistan, scheduled for March 16, 18 and 19, 2026.

The citizens of Uzbekistan expressed their special appreciation for the attention shown by the Consulate General and emphasized the respectful treatment they received from the TDCFC staff.
