GENEVA, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan participated in a series of prestigious international events held under the auspices of the UN in Geneva, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

In particular, representatives of our country participated in the 2026 Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

This forum aims to strengthen regional cooperation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. During the event, participants discussed accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, introducing innovative solutions and exchanging experience between states.

Within the framework of the forum, a 'round table' was organized with the assistance of the Permanent Mission of Uzbekistan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva, the Ministry of Agriculture of our country, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The event aimed to present Uzbekistan's national experience in agricultural development, food security and sustainable agri-food systems.

Representatives of foreign countries and international organizations showed great interest in the large-scale transformations within Uzbekistan's agriculture and food sectors in recent years, the significant results achieved, and future priority tasks.

Additionally, the delegation members participated in the fourth meeting on the transformation of food systems in Europe and Central Asia.

This event was organized by the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub and was dedicated to the issues of food system reform, the implementation of national strategies and the attraction of investments.

The meeting facilitated a dialogue and exchange of experience between representatives of states, international organizations, academia and the private sector. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation aimed at establishing sustainable food systems by 2030.

The participation of the Uzbek delegation in these international events serves to further develop the country’s agricultural sector, ensure food security, and expand international cooperation.
