Diplomats of Uzbekistan meet with compatriots studying at Taizhou University in China

TAIZHOU, March 17. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai met with fellow citizens studying at Taizhou University in China's Zhejiang Province, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting focused on academic exchange between the university and universities in Uzbekistan, the allocation of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate studies for Uzbek students, conducting scientific research, as well as the possibility of establishing a branch of the university or an educational center in Uzbekistan.
During the roundtable discussion with compatriots, it was noted that special attention is being given to supporting youth in Uzbekistan as part of state policy. All conditions are being created for education, talent development, and the growth of their potential.
Additionally, an exchange of views took place on promoting the cultural heritage and values of Uzbekistan, as well as ensuring active participation of compatriots in strengthening business relations with China.
At the end of the event, the students had their questions answered. Based on the feedback and suggestions provided by the students, it was decided to organize celebrations for "Navruz", "Youth’s Day", and "Independence Day" together with them throughout 2025, including various intellectual and sports events.
Taizhou University, founded in 1907, ranks 129th among national universities. According to the university’s Vice-Rector Li Jianjun, more than 250 students Uzbekistan have graduated from this institution since the establishment of official relations between the two countries.
