Frankfurt‑Main hosts football tournament among German and Czech expatriates

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, October 13. /Dunyo IA/. A football competition was held in Frankfurt am Main among compatriots from Uzbekistan who are studying or working in Germany and Czechia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The sports tournament, organized with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main and the German-Uzbek cultural association "Humo", brought together compatriots of various ages and ethnic backgrounds, fostering unity and solidarity among members of the Uzbek diaspora.
The tournament was organized with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle by encouraging greater involvement of Uzbek youth in sports, strengthening the Uzbek youth community in Germany, and raising awareness among participants about the ongoing reforms taking place in Uzbekistan.
A total of sixteen teams, comprising compatriots residing across various federal states of Germany and the Czech Republic, participated in the tournament. In the decisive final match, the teams "Halle" and "Nihol" faced off in a competitive showdown.
Ultimately, it was "Halle" team that emerged victorious, claiming the tournament cup.
