Diplomats of Uzbekistan meet with compatriots in Antwerp

• 110ANTWERP, December 3. /Dunyo IA/. A cultural and educational event combined with an off-site consular reception was held in Antwerp, Belgium, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Around 40 compatriots living in Antwerp and its surrounding areas participated in the event.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the historical significance of the State Flag of Uzbekistan, which celebrates its 34th anniversary this year, the national values reflected in its symbolism, and the principles of independence. Proposals from the diaspora on further strengthening the Uzbek community in Belgium, maintaining ties with the homeland, and promoting the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Uzbek people in the Benelux countries were also addressed.
Diplomats received citizens’ inquiries on legal and consular matters and provided practical assistance on the spot. The event concluded with the serving of the national dish, Uzbek plov, prepared for participants at the initiative of the Embassy.
Systematic work with compatriots abroad continues, focusing on their involvement in the country’s development, preservation of national culture, and strengthening loyalty to the homeland.
