TASHKENT, April 10. /Dunyo IA/. On 16–17 April 2026, Khiva will host the first Central Asia–Germany Expert Forum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event is being held as part of the implementation of the initiative put forward by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Central Asia–Germany Summit in Astana in September 2024.
The Forum is jointly organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan (ISRS), the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Regional Office for Central Asia, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Office in Uzbekistan.
The Forum will bring together more than 50 participants, including heads of leading think tanks, distinguished experts, representatives of academia, and members of the business community from Germany and the Central Asian countries.
The meeting aims to launch a permanent expert platform designed to provide high-quality analytical support for the Central Asia + Germany format.
Key areas of discussion will focus on deepening political dialogue, advancing economic cooperation and industrial partnership, accelerating digital transformation, and investing in human capital through expanded academic exchanges and the development of orderly labour migration.
