ISLAMABAD, February 18. /Dunyo IA/. The electronic edition of the popular Pakistani publication “The World News” has published an article titled “President of Uzbekistan approves reform programme and State Programme and “Uzbekistan – 2030” State Program for 2026”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the publication, on 17 December 2025, Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed and approved the draft priority reform programs and the State Program for implementing the “Uzbekistan - 2030” Strategy for 2026, developed using a new approach that draws on advanced international experience.

It is emphasised that the respective drafts were developed on the basis of advanced international experience and incorporate fundamentally new approaches. They define the key directions of state policy for the current year, the target indicators set by the Head of our State and specific mechanisms for their effective implementation.

The article further reports that particular attention is paid to distinguishing between reform programs and the State Program. Reform programs include initiatives presented by the President in his Address to the People and the Oliy Majlis, as well as the most priority areas for 2026.

The author notes that among them are the improvement of mahalla infrastructure and the shaping of their modern image in the spirit of the New Uzbekistan; the transition of the economy to a technological and innovation-driven growth model and the stimulation of domestic demand; the development of professional skills and the formation of a new labour market architecture; ensuring environmental balance and the rational use of water resources; the further enhancement of the public administration system and the judicial and legal sphere, as well as the strengthening of social harmony and national cohesion.

It is noted that, within the framework of the State Programme for the implementation of the “Uzbekistan - 2030” Strategy in the Year of Mahalla Development and Community Support, achievement of the target indicators set for 2026 will be ensured. The Programme approves a comprehensive action plan comprising 337 measures.

Throughout 2026, it is envisaged that 59 of the most significant draft regulatory legal acts across various sectors will be developed, along with 12 draft documents providing for the implementation of key strategic reforms. Particular emphasis in the preparation of the drafts was placed on taking public opinion into account. “The draft State Programme underwent broad public discussion and, from 23 January to 1 February, was actively covered in the mass media and online platforms. More than five million users reviewed the document, and over 22,000 comments and proposals were received. Following analysis, around 1,000 constructive initiatives were incorporated into the final version of the draft”, - article states.

The author concludes that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev carefully reviewed the submitted materials, signed the relevant decree and approved the reform programmes, as well as the State Programme titled “Year of Mahalla Development and Community Support”.
