АTYRAU, January 30. /Dunyo IA/.  In Atyrau, with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Aktau, representatives of “Uzbekistan Airways” met with Kairat Nurtaev, Deputy Akim of Atyrau Region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the regional departments for passenger transport, tourism, and investment.

During the talks, it was noted that advancing bilateral cooperation in civil aviation - particularly the launch of direct flights between regions of Uzbekistan and Atyrau Region - would help stimulate tourism, cultural exchanges and business ties.

In turn, the Atyrau regional administration expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive support in addressing organizational matters related to the opening of these flights.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to launch a new route between “Tashkent and Atyrau”, as well as to further develop tourism and humanitarian links between the regions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan through joint initiatives.
