WASHINGTON, February 2. /Dunyo IA/.  The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States hosted an evening dedicated to Uzbek culture and tourism, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The main goal of the event was to promote Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, national art, and tourism potential among the American public as well as to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties.

The gathering brought together over 150 guests, including representatives of official circles, members of the diplomatic corps, leaders of U.S. cultural and tourism organizations, artists and members of the public.

The program featured video presentations highlighting Uzbekistan’s rich history, cultural traditions, tourist destinations and modern infrastructure. Participants were also provided with informational materials on Uzbekistan’s hospitality sector, the recently introduced 30-day visa-free regime for U.S. citizens and the rich diversity of the national cuisine.

In the cultural segment, musical performances were delivered by Khurshed Rasulov, soloist of the “Friendship of Peoples” ensemble, while members of the Uzbek diaspora in the U.S. presented a vibrant showcase of traditional Uzbek dance.

Guests were also treated to a lavish dastarkhan, featuring some of the finest dishes of Uzbek national cuisine. Attendees had the opportunity not only to taste these culinary specialties but also to learn about the intricacies of their preparation.

The event contributed to strengthening Uzbekistan’s positive international image, promoting the country’s cultural and tourism potential and furthering cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and the United States. It received wide coverage across social media platforms, amplifying its impact among global audiences.
