Tourism potential of Uzbekistan presented in Egypt

• 494CAIRO, December 28. /Dunyo IA/. An event highlighting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held in the Egyptian capital, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by representatives of Egyptian travel companies, industry specialists, and members of the media.
During the event, diplomats from the Uzbek Embassy briefed participants on the attention paid by the country’s leadership to the development of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, the large-scale reforms being implemented in this area, and the favorable conditions and opportunities created in the country for foreign tourists. In addition, participants were provided with detailed explanations regarding the procedure for obtaining entry visas for Egyptian citizens planning to travel to Uzbekistan, as well as existing simplifications and privileges.
Participants were also shown video materials showcasing the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. The videos presented information on the historic cities of Bukhara, Khiva, and Samarkand, as well as modern tourist attractions in Tashkent and surrounding areas.
Representing Uzbekistan at the event were Bobir Namozov, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law at Bukhara State University, and Professor Alisher Ochilov, who delivered substantive reports on the history of Uzbekistan and shared insights on the tourist attractions of Bukhara.
Egyptian writer and expert Ahmad Tarabek presented information on historical figures linking Uzbekistan and Egypt, and shared insights from his book “The History of Uzbeks in Egypt”.
A separate segment of the program featured a video review titled “Uzbekistan Through the Eyes of Egyptians”, prepared based on the experiences of Egyptian travel blogger Mustafa Abu Rawash during his trip to Uzbekistan.
At the conclusion of the event, representatives of the Egyptian tourism industry expressed their readiness to establish cooperation with Uzbek travel companies and to regularly send tourist groups to Uzbekistan.
