REDA, December 8. /Dunyo IA/. A cultural event titled “Uzbekistan - along the Silk Road” was held today at the House of Culture in the city of Reda, in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in cooperation with traveller‑lecturer Krzysztof Kriger, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by representatives of the city administration, figures from cultural and humanitarian circles, members of the public, as well as masters of applied arts.

Krzysztof Kriger delivered a presentation highlighting the historical monuments of the Khorezm, Samarkand, and Bukhara regions, their significance within the global cultural heritage, as well as Uzbekistan’s initiatives in ecotourism, ongoing reforms, and contemporary tourism projects being implemented in the cities of Nukus and the Aral Sea region.

Attendees were also introduced to examples of applied arts, traditional paintings, silk products, and photographs showcasing the customs and traditions of the Uzbek people.

Visitors had the opportunity to receive informational materials, including brochures, flyers, and special publications dedicated to the history, culture, and tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

The event contributed to promoting Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage abroad, showcasing its tourism potential, and further developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland.

At the conclusion of the gathering, guests were treated to traditional Uzbek cuisine, including plov, samsa, and customary sweets.
