Uzbekistan Welcomes 10.7 Million Foreign Visitors Between January and November 2025

Uzbekistan’s tourism sector demonstrated strong and sustained growth between January and November 2025, driven by large-scale development efforts across the industry, country welcomed 10.7 million foreign visitors during this period, marking one of the most dynamic increases in recent years, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Tourism Committee, the number of foreign visitors increased by 14 percent compared to the same period last year. The export of tourism services reached 4.4 billion USD, reflecting an impressive 44-percent growth.
Under the domestic tourism programme “Travel in Uzbekistan”, residents of the country made 23.7 million trips across the regions, fulfilling 14.8 percent of the annual plan. Across the provinces, 954 new accommodation facilities were launched, bringing the total number to 6,861, with a combined capacity of 183.9 thousand beds.
Thanks to the establishment of 662 new tourism companies and travel agencies, the total number of such entities has risen to 4,348. Across the country, 4,345 licensed guides are currently active, and an additional 375 specialists were trained between January and November 2025. Following recommendations issued to private sector operators, the condition of 784 sanitary and hygiene facilities was also improved nationwide.
In the investment sphere, 421 projects were implemented, creating over 6,313 new jobs. The comprehensive efforts undertaken in the tourism sector over the eleven months of 2025 have strengthened Uzbekistan’s international standing, expanded employment opportunities, and boosted the export of services — reaffirming tourism as one of the key drivers of the national economy.
