DELHI, January 20. /Dunyo IA/.  The Uzbek dance ensemble “Tarona” successfully performed at the 11th International Festival of Dance and Music in Delhi, organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Creative ensembles from Uzbekistan are regular and eagerly awaited participants in such international festivals. Their vibrant performances, rooted in rich national traditions, are traditionally met with enthusiastic applause from Indian audiences, who have a deep appreciation for the art of music and dance.

The “Tarona” ensemble, established in one of Uzbekistan’s cultural centres - the historic city of Kokand - brings together talented dance and music enthusiasts. The group not only promotes Uzbek folk art but also performs works from other nations of the world with great respect and skill.

In the repertoire of the amateur performers, Indian dance compositions and musical pieces hold a special place.

The “Tarona” ensemble’s participation in the festival was met with standing ovations from local music lovers and art experts, becoming an important “bridge of friendship” between the two ancient civilizations.

After their main performances in Delhi, the Uzbek artists’ cultural tour across India will continue.
