Community Iftar organized in Moscow for Uzbek Women Nationals and Students

• 186MOSCOW, March 11. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized an iftar event for Uzbek women working in the Russian capital, as well as for Uzbek students studying in Moscow, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was also attended by Odiljon Sadilloev, Imam-Khatib of the “Khalifa Khudoydod” Mosque in Bukhara.
Opening the event, representatives of the Embassy and the Imam-Khatib conveyed greetings to the Uzbek community on behalf of the country’s leadership on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.
It was emphasized that, under the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, measures are being implemented in the country to ensure all necessary conditions for the proper observance of the holy month, to support those in need and to organize charitable activities.
Special attention was drawn to the establishment of a completely new system in Uzbekistan for protecting women’s rights and interests, as well as enhancing their role in society. Laws and regulations adopted in the country place particular emphasis on gender equality.
During the event, guests were also provided with information about Uzbekistan’s rich history and the significant contributions of the nation’s great ancestors to global science and culture.
At the conclusion of the gathering, members of the Uzbek community expressed deep gratitude to the President and the Government of Uzbekistan for their care and attention to every citizen currently residing outside the homeland.
