The Uzbek musician performed works by renowned figures of world music on a historic piano recently gifted to the French Church — a grand piano crafted at the famed “Bechstein” workshop in Berlin, boasting a rich history of nearly a century.
Celebrated for its delicate and multifaceted tonal qualities and resonant brilliance in European musical traditions, this historic instrument was performed for the first time in Europe by renowned pianist Ulug‘bek Palvanov, offering a profound sense of pride and delight to the music enthusiasts of Potsdam. The concert received coverage in Germany’s “Tagesspiegel” as well as in numerous local media outlets.
During the concert, Ulug‘bek Palvanov masterfully performed a repertoire spanning the works of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Wohltemperiertes Klavier”, Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Appassionata”, Frédéric Chopin’s 1. Ballade, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Préludes”, and Franz Liszt’s “1. Mephisto-Walzer”.
