Representatives of Uzbekistan participate in Earth Day celebrations in Rome

ROME, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, together with compatriots residing in Italy, took part in an international event organized by the Municipality of Rome in celebration of Earth Day, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.
The festive program brought together representatives of the Rome City Hall, accredited diplomats, activists of Uzbek and other diaspora organizations, compatriots, and members of the media.
The event opened with a "Parade of Nations" — a traditional procession of representatives of various communities living in Italy, which took place in Rome’s Villa Borghese Park.
As part of the celebration, Uzbek participants presented a stand featuring examples of national handicrafts and applied arts. The Uzbekistan pavilion was decorated in a traditional style, with displays of national costumes, cultural artifacts, literary works, and tourism brochures.
Additionally, attendees enjoyed a performance of a traditional Uzbek dance to the melody of "Yor-Yor", presented by members of the Uzbek community. The concert program, which included national music and songs, contributed to a festive atmosphere and left the audience with a lasting positive impression.
