New Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to the King of Norway

OSLO, May 17. /Dunyo IA/. On May 15, the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Norway with the residence in Stockholm Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov presented his credentials to the King Harald V of Norway, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Following the official ceremony, an audience was held during which the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbekistan–Norway relations were discussed, particularly in the political, trade-economic, investment, technological, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The dialogue also highlighted the considerable potential for enhancing bilateral cooperation in key areas such as combating the effects of climate change, developing green energy, reducing poverty, and promoting the role of women and youth in society.
It is worth noting that, diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Norway were established on June 10, 1992.
Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov arrived in Stockholm on October 15, 2024, as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden and presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf on December 4.
