Ambassador of Uzbekistan meets with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure

ABU DHABI, May 12. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Umid Shodiev met with the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
At the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors being implemented in Uzbekistan with the participation of UAE companies.
During the negotiations, it was particularly noted that Uzbekistan is a fraternal country for the United Arab Emirates, and the close, trusting relationship established between the leaders of the two states creates a solid foundation for the further expansion of bilateral cooperation and places a high responsibility for its consistent development.
Emirati side noted the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at economic development, particularly the private sector. Digitalization processes, the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in various industries, and the improvement of the legal framework were recognized as vital factors for the country's long-term sustainable development.
During the meeting, it was noted that a mechanism for monitoring the implementation of joint projects has been established at the governmental level, through which new initiatives are coordinated.
It was also emphasized that the creation of the “Abu Dhabi Uzbek Investment” company in 2019 was a significant step toward expanding bilateral economic ties. This company serves as an effective mechanism for the joint financing of promising projects in Uzbekistan.
In conclusion, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei expressed his readiness to participate in the V Tashkent International Investment Forum.
