Sweden eyes Uzbekistan as first-ever partner for bilateral migration agreement

STOCKHOLM, May 7. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov met with the Minister for Migration of Sweden Johan Forssell, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the practical aspects of preparing a comprehensive intergovernmental agreement between Uzbekistan and Sweden in the field of migration, as well as the mechanisms for the future implementation of the document.
During the conversation, Minister Johan Forssell specifically noted that Uzbekistan would be the first country with which Sweden plans to sign an agreement in the migration sphere, and that this would be a significant step toward expanding bilateral cooperation.
Uzbekistan and Austria signed a series of bilateral documents.
